Course B1 – Defensive and economical driving:
Vehicle based.

Course overview:
A course designed to help the more experienced professional driver get the most from his/her vehicle in terms of fuel economy by full and proper utilisation of all of the controls fitted to his/her particular vehicle. This course will fully utilise the procedures and techniques covered by SAFED whilst also considering the comfort and safety of all passengers or live animals (as appropriate) carried on that vehicle. Where other loads are carried, for example hanging meat, drivers will be advised of specific techniques both in driving and loading that cargo.
